There is a divided type of substances which is called quasi-conductors. This class was discovered in early 1980's but there were no needed technologies to carry on the further experiments. The research of semiconductors was carried on only in the 1920's. Russian physicists carried out a lot of experiments. The results showed that semiconductors may assist to accelerate the fluctuations and maintain them. There was no opportunity to develop some sophisticated devices as semiconductor assembly. First transistor was created in Bell's laboratory in 1949. That event impacted on the quick improvement of semiconductor devices. Since then many people all over the world become interested in such kind of matter as semiconductors.
The interest to optical features of semiconductors revived due to discovery of simulated emission in semiconductors. By usage of such principles as p - n barriers and heterojunction scientists managed to design laser system in the beginning of the 60's.
