Who of Them is the Bad Guy?
When the US's Unlawful Internet Gambling Act is broadcasting the news with stories of finance and the Internet, so many people are starting to wonder what the factual difference between Internet gaming and online commerce is.
Now, let us take two persons sitting in their bureaus both of them risk their money online, one is breaking the legislative norms, the other one is not. One of these two businessmen is a day dealer, and no matter how you look at this fact, that person is venturing his money for the chance to raise his revenues. I think that both men are using the Internet for one reason. On the other hand, the second is now taking part in a dishonest business. Why criminal? Because Government of the USA doesn't get a single cent of profit from the the army of online gamblers. It only gets tax money from the day online seller.
Each day residents of the USA lose immense sums of money from trading papers, which are not located in Wall Street offices, but from their drawing rooms. This kind of usual men are not professionally trained stock dealers, and hold no certificate - despite all this they do not have any legal problems to conduct this kind of business.
In fact, the only factual difference between trading on internet and online gambling is the amount of profits the US Government receives from the industries: Online commerce = large revenues; Online Gambling = not a single cent and lots of new casino bonuses for gamblers. There is much speculation that the US Congress is working on the anti-online gambling ban for the same reason that they are loose all the possible profits day in day out.
